Luncheon at Misericordia University

Diane, Debbie and I went to Misericordia University today for a luncheon and a tour of the campus and the new College of Health Science Building. Debbie is interested in Misericordia’s Occupational Therapy program. This was their 3rd time to visit the campus and a 1st for me. The reason for the luncheon was to recognize incoming students for their academic achievements. I had to laugh when we arrived at our table to find that the dessert was already on the table. How great is that? I thought it was a nice touch to have a faculty member from the Occupational Therapy program seated at our table. We were able ask questions so we could learn more about the program. Everyone there was friendly and very informative and the campus is beautiful. Debbie loves it there and my wife and I feel that this is a good match but we are still trying to figure out how to make this work financially.
Update (3/25/10): It’s official. Debbie is going to Misericordia University

Starters Restaurants – “Dine for Camelot!”
On Thursday March the 11th after work I’m going to Starters Riverport. Debbie (my daughter) is going to be at the entrance talking to people about Camelot for Children.
Camelot for Children, Inc. is a non-profit organization that provides a social gathering place to seriously, chronically, terminally ill and disabled children. All activities are free of charge and include the whole family. Camelot House is a haven from what can sometimes be a very lonely world for these special children. At Camelot the children and families can gather with others who have similar needs in common with their own. For parents, Camelot provides a common ground where problems and concerns can be discussed with others experiencing similar situations. When the children are at Camelot House it is our hope that they can forget, for just a little while, that they are sick or different from others.
Throughout the whole month of March, Starters Restaurants are donating up to 10% of all dining purchases to Camelot for Children. Please come and show your support to Camelot by eating out at any of the 3 Starters’ locations when you turn in the voucher below. Thank You!
Cycle Funattic in Phillipsburg, NJ
A stranger had recommended this bike shop to me some time ago but it was not until my friend Greg mentioned it to me that I decided to make the trek to Phillipsburg, NJ to give them a try. I took an afternoon ride to get my bike Tuned-Up. It took about an hour while Russ meticulously adjusted my brakes, shifters, cleaned the chain, etc . I even had a hot cup of coffee while I waited and browsed through an excellent selection of Bianchi bikes. The final cost. $45.00 that was well spent and was well worth ride.
